Acting on behalf of an overseas investor in 2005 we purchased a long lease on this vacant Mayfair town house from Cadbury Schweppes Pension Trust for £3,250,000. The building’s previous occupier Time Magazine had long since vacated. After carrying out a structural survey and providing our recommendations Cyril Leonard were appointed to oversee an upgrade of its seven office floors, overhaul the 8 person lift and install a modern air conditioning system.
The building was subsequently let to a mining company who vacated in 2019 and led to Cyril Leonard being instructed by the vendor to market this self-contained office building having approx 103 years with vacant possession. The enhanced condition of the property and improved market conditions led to a sale at a price approaching £8m.
